A Hitwitstuff2 Recording

Mono Giant Squid mics mounted in the brim of my baseball cap with an center unobstructed view of the stage from 20 feet away. Recorded with a Sony M-1 DAT Recorder at 48k. Balanced and tracked with Audacity. Flac'd with Switch.

Well I accidentally left my core sound bi-noral mics in a place very far from Grass Valley where the show was to be. I had these crappy old Giant Squid mics and my DAT recorder and Junior was playing in this excellent small-sized venue so here's the result. One side of the stereo was completely distorted. The other sounded surprisingly good so I mono'd it out that channel, amplify'd the levels and here ya go.

Of the three times I've seen Junior, this was the best. A great entertaining exciting funny show. The guy is a top player who really should be on those BS "best guitarist" lists and never is. Seriously, see this guy while you can. A top entertaining and guitar master! I'm gonna post a bunch of samples so you can really check it out because it is mono and recorded on a crappy mic, but it really does sound better than it should.
