Manny's Car Wash was a tiny little bar on the upper east side, with a

tiny little stage. Like the Lone Star Cafe before it, most nights they

ran two shows, an early and a late show. Some nights, they kicked the

early crowd out, because there were plenty of late show tickets sold,

other nights, they let you stay for the second show with no added cover charge.

This night, Manny's was packed, but the show started like a lot of Manny's shows,

real late. I left after the first show, at about midnight, even though I could have stayed for

the late show, as they announce at the end of Junior's set, that we are all invited

to stay for it. Many nights I only recorded the early shows, because they were work nights,

and my trip back to Brooklyn could me quite long.
