The quality is fairly excellent though the audio mix is a bit hot in the upper midrange on the instruments. And the sound changes quite a few times right in the middle of songs. But it's far from the worst mix ever and the vocals mostly sound fine.

Transfer (grner1 - October 2007): 1st gen. U-Matic 3/4 inch video tapes > Sony BVU-950 deck > Sony DVMC-DA2 (DV hardware codec media converter) > Final Cut Pro > AIFF file > Pro Tools (normalize, DC offset correction, minor seamless fixes and tracking on sector boundaries - no EQ or noise reduction) > AIFF files > xACT (tagged Flac level 8 files).
