Anna and Kate were born in Montreal of mixed Irish and FrenchCanadian background.
There childhood was in the Laurentian Mountains northwest of Montreal.
In this place they learned the piano .
They preformed as a duo until Kate McGarrigle's death on January 18, 2010.
May She Rest In Peace.
Debut albums simply aren't supposed to be as accomplished
and beautifully crafted as Kate & Anna McGarrigle's first record, which is as
