The Kinks
Starmaker / A British Biscuit

These are two excellent-sounding performances of my favorite Kinks concept album, "Soap Opera." I'm including the lineage info listed on the back of the bootleg as I received it.

STARMAKER (original soundtrack)
Recorded at Granada television studio 12 in Manchester on July 25, 1974
Broadcast on the ITN network as part of the "Late Night Line Up" series on September 14, 1974
Digitally remastered direct from the original soundtrack master (mono)
(This show, starring Ray Davies and the band, was the original "Soap Opera" concept - the album was released afterward.)

Late Night Line Up Theme
Everybody's a Star (Starmaker)
Ordinary People
Rush Hour Blues
Nine to Five
When Work Is Over
You Make It All Worthwhile

A BRITISH BISCUIT ("Soap Opera" in concert)
Recorded live at the New Victoria Theatre, London, on June 14, 1975, by the DIR Network for U.S. radio syndication
Digitally remastered from the original 7" quadrophonic broadcast reels mixed into stereo

Artwork is included. Note: I am not numbering tracks because the tracks as they appear on the artwork differ from what is here. Some dialogue parts from the shows have been split into separate tracks.

Enjoy!
