Note from Rich: The original recording of The Kinks show was a good sounding tape. My brother's friends brother recorded this show with some kind of great equipment he borrowed. However the master was lost and we only had an incomplete copy saved on a cheaper cassette. My copy is a copy of that tape. (Which makes this a 2nd generation copy, that was transferred to DAT).

This is still a rare recording that not alot of people have, even though this has circulated on cassette in the past.

We now have a known lineage for the first time. Even though it was originally taped onto 2 cassettes and this copy was put onto

1 cassette, we basically have the entire recording here. Except for the the very ending of the last song, which is practically

all here. we're probably missing the last 45 seconds.

As I was editing and tracking this, I learned that the right channel has deficient fidelity compared to the left channel.

The right channel isn't nearly as clear and solid as the left channel. But since this is truely a stereo recording,

I left it alone. Had this been a mono recording, I would have swapped it out.

The tape flip was during track 10 @ 1:36 and then there is another quick tape cut @ 2:00.

We get a rare version of 'Twist and Shout', which ends the first tape.

Followed by the encore which starts abruptly due to a tape change.

Just as the encore is nearly complete, this copy runs out of tape.
