note:
I've got this one on early last year from a kind share by an English fellow trader, he borrowed the tapes from a friend and digitised them by himself.
Until this recording surfaced, the only source I knew for this concert was an audience video shot (one of the earliest shots of a Kraftwerk concert in circulation)
from an unknown generation VHS (available on Youtube). None of these two sources sound excellent, but both are perfectly listenable and enjoyable,
although this audio source sounds a lot better (the taper was probably a lot closer to the PA stacks) than the video one.
Unfortunatly, due to some tape skretches, some portions in the beggining of 'Numbers' are either missing or speeded-up.
There are also constant fluctuations throughout 'Pocket Calculator', which are somewhat annoying. All in all, there are no other flaws
and the sound quality is the average for most The Mix tour recordings in circulation.
This concert was played during the 1st leg of The Mix tour, which was exclusive to the United Kingdom and featured
the Portuguese keyboards player Fernando Abrantes, in attempt to fill a gap left by Karl Bartos after his departure from the band.
Abrantes has only played the 1991 UK concerts because he couldn't remain on the band and was shortly replaced by Henning Schmitz, another Klingklang sound engineer.
