Notes:
I finally got to see Kraftwerk, and what a show! I thought the high contrast video visuals, stage
lighting, and light-up suits they all wore were top notch; it's a Multimedia Tour indeed. Despite
being off to the side of the stage, I was still relatively close to the stage and stacks, so the
sound is pretty good and clear, although the stereo elements like the sound of the train passing
by in TEE aren't there, although you can still hear some phasing when they happen. It took me a
few tunes to settle on a level setting for the A10, but I'm glad I kept paying attention, because
dynamic range was the name of the game here, and the bass was absolutely pumping for tracks like
Spacelab, The Man-Machine, and pretty much all of the second half of the set starting with Radio-
activity.

To that end, I tried messing around with some parallel compression in iZotope for the first time
to give the whole recording a listenable level while still maintaining the dynamics within each
track. There is some slight pumping on tracks with the heaviest bass kicks, most of all during
The Man-Machine and Radioactivity. I'm sure I'll learn better ways of addressing compression in
the future, both through technique and using other plugins and programs, but I think the results
here are reasonable, and that making the recording more listenable overall is worth the exchange.
Let me know what you think, though, because I want you all to like it, too.
