Tapers Notes:

The Prodigal Son Returns. It has been many years since Larry Carlton has returned to
the Los Angeles club where he got his start in the 1970's, this time with an allstar
cast. This was a two night stand, with two sets each night.

What is noteworthy is Abraham Laboriel's sobbing speech about America and Larry
Carlton. I won't go into a lot of details here, but Laboriel believes that for
music, this is the greatest country in the world (He's from Mexico born of Nigerian
parents and been all over the world), which in turn turned into a heartwarming speech
about Larry Cartlon. Yeah, its a little over the top, but he's an emotional guy.

Be on the lookout for Steve Luthaker's homecoming to the Baked Potato next month.
