While Larry Stephenson is best known as a touring musician whose voice sets a standard of melody, clarity, and storytelling, he has had an active and well-awarded recording career. He recorded with Webco Records and then spent 18 years with Pinecastle Records, releasing 18 albums during that period. Signature songs in Larry Stephenson's vast catalog include "Patches," "Yes, I See God," "Clinch Mountain Mystery," "Many Hills Of Time", "The Knoxville Girl", "The Knoxville Boy," "The Pretty Blue Dress" and "The Violet and the Rose." Another Stephenson fan favorite is his version of Bill Monroe's classic "Mule Skinner Blues," often performed as an encore and showcasing his flexible and reliable tenor voice. These songs, always delivered with commitment and conviction, are often requested at his live performances at festivals, concerts, and other appearances.
The award-winning Larry Stephenson Band has been entertaining audiences for over 25 years including their numerous performances on the Grand Ole Opry, RFD-TV and many more headlining concerts. The group is led by Virginia Country Music Hall of Famer and 5-Time SPBGMA Male Vocalist of the Year Larry Stephenson who is joined by the talents of Kenny Ingram, Kevin Richardson and Matt Wright. The band has received critical acclaim for their numerous bluegrass albums over the years and continue that success with their latest album, Pull Your Savior In, an all-gospel project and winner of the 2015 SPBGMA Album of the Year Award.

Note:
This is my first time recording a show. I sorta lucked into the recorder the day before the festival, bought it for $50.
It is a device with very few setting but I'm very happy with the recordings. There is just a Low & High Mic Gain Setting.
I used the Low and amplified the sound. The recorder was on a mic stand Center Stage 5th Row about 50 Feet from Speakers.
You can hear my Bluegrass buddy,Tater, hollar & whistle.
Come November I plan to go record Kody Norris And The Watauga Mountain Boys. Mark Poe puts on some Bluegrass shows in Connersville Indana. Mark can be heard on the Uncle Pen Days recordings playing Bass with The Wildwood Valley Boys & guitar with Feller & Hill and the Bluegrass Buckaroos. Tom Feller is the sound engineer at Bean Blossom.
