Neil Larsen and Howard "Buzzy" Feiten are the principals in this
group, playing keyboards and guitar respectively. Buzzy Feiten
made his chops at the age of 18 in the Paul Butterfield Blues
Band. Neil Larsen is from Tampa, Florida.

In 1970, Buzzy quit had a short lived tour with Stevie Wonder, but
the dream of jazz-blues-rock fusion remained. In 1972, Buzzy
hooked up with Phil Wilson, "Brother" Gene Dinwiddie, and Freddie
Beckmeirer who played drums, sax, and bass for the Butterfield
Blues Band and tapped Neil Larsen for the keyboard slot. Known as
"Full Moon" the group was a commercial flop but a cult sucess.

After some studio sessions, the boys reformed with
a new group and and a new tour, "The Larsen Feiten Band." This
concert catches the group at this juncture. Interesting cuts include
"Midnight Pass" (a Full Moon song, and a street in Tampa),
"Who Will be the Fool Tonight" (supposed to be their single),
"Jungle Fever" (title song to Neil's solo LP) and "High Gear"
(another Neil Larsen LP). This is percussion heavy, jazzy samba-ish
free form guitar-organ instrumental groove jazz. I hope you guys like it.

Buzzy and Neil did 4-5 albums together either in this form or with Neil
Larsen budding solo career.

Buzzy recorded or toured with these artists: Rascals, Bob Dylan,
Aretha Franklin, Etta James, The Brecker Brothers, Gregg Allman,
James Taylor, Wilson Pickett, Chaka Khan, Olivia Newton-John,
Rickie Lee Jones, Stevie Wonder, Bette Midler, David Sanborn, Dave Weckl,
Kenny Loggins, Art Porter Jr., Michael Franks, Dave Koz, Felix Cavaliere,
Jeff Lorber, Stuart Hamm, Jason Miles, and Boz Scaggs. He appears on
Steve Postell's new CD later this year.

Neil Larsen returned to studio work with Tommy LiPuma, Michael Franks,
Rickie Lee Jones, Livingston Taylor, Chuck Leavell, Al Jarreau,
Joe Sample, Ricky Kicklighter, George Harrison, and most recently
on Diana Krall's CD's.
