LenTalk:
***before THE LAW:
This is a new song. There is a law, there is an arm, there is a hand.
***before NIGHT COMES ON:
This is another new song called 'The Night Comes on'.
***before DANCE ME TO THE END OF LOVE:
Thank you. This is another new song called, 'Dance Me to the End of Love'.
***before GYPSY'S WIFE:
Here's a song I wrote for my Gypsy wife.
***before HALLELUJAH:
This is a new song called, 'Hallelujah'. It's the broken Hallelujah. It's not the one you see in church, it's the other one. It's the one we learn about in butcher shop. And you can't penetrate the mistery. And don't you like to ...... 'cause you don't have enough power. So you say, 'Hallelujah'.
***before COMING BACK TO YOU:
//one more song and we'll take a break of 15 or 20 minutes and we'll come back start over play ..... my songs. (applause) This song is called, 'Coming Back to You'.
***A SINGER MUST DIE extra verse:
And save me a place in a three-dollar grave
With those who took money for the pleasures they gave
With those always ready, with those who undressed
So you could lie down with your head on somebody's breast
And the ladies gone moist, and the judge has no choice,
A singer must die for the lie in his voice.
***before CHELSEA HOTEL #2:
It was a long time ago in a hotel in New York City ..... . I was in the elevator and she was looking for something. I mean she was really looking for something. She was trying to fulfill some potential of her nature. So she was actually, actually looking for someone. I said to her in the elevator, "Who are you looking for?" She said, "Kris Kristofferson." "Lucky girl," I said, "I am Kris Kristofferson." For many days I deceived her. She was a very great singer. After she'd died, I wrote this song for her. It was Janis Joplin.
***before THE TENNESSEE WALTZ:
This is a song that I learned when I was a kid listening to a few pop ..... in a Cadillac Restaurant on Peel Street, Montreal, Canada, ... ... ... ... I wrote another verse ... ... . It's a great old song.
***after SUZANNE:
??? (to a heckler).
