Master cassettes > ? > reels > DAT > CDr > EAC 0.99pb4 > SoundForge 9.0e > Trader's Little Helper 2.4.1 > .flac16
Source 2) Tracks 20-28
Master cassettes > ? > cassette > ? > .flac16 > Trader's Little Helper 2.4.1 > SoundForge 9.0e * > Trader's Little Helper 2.4.1 > .flac16
* Pitch correction by +0.23 cc
RMS adjustment to -14dB
Source 1 has less hiss, but shows worse dynamics (sort of normalized). Source 2 represents, I believe, the sound as it was captured, three(?) generations later. Very natural dynamics, but more hiss.

This first set is gonna ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... . And the second set will probably ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... .
***before COMING BACK TO YOU:
This song is called "Coming Back to You" and I dedicate it to you to whom I have come back.
***A SINGER MUST DIE extra verse:
And save me a place in a TWELVE-dollar grave
With those who took money for the pleasures they gave
With those always ready, with those who undressed
So you could lie down with your head on somebody's breast
And the ladies gone moist, the judge has no choice,
A singer must die for the lie in his voice.
***before CHELSEA HOTEL #2:
Thank you very much. It's very warm, very warm, thank you.
I remember a long time ago in this elevator in a hotel in New York City I met this young woman. I used to bump into her every night about three in the morning. She was looking for something. I don't mean that she was trying to fulfil some ........ of her psychic. I mean she was actually looking for someone. So I said, "Who are you looking for?" She said, "Kris Kristofferson". I told her I was Kris Kristofferson. I deceived her for many nights. She was a very great singer and after she died I wanted to write something for her. And at a Polynesian restaurant in Miami Beach, Florida, I was ..... peanuts ...... ...... ...... and began this song for Janis Joplin.
***before THE TENNESSEE WALTZ:
//This is an old song that I didn't write. I learned it many years ago. I hope you like this song. I like it a lot. I really do. I don't know why. I used to hear this song on this jukebox on Peel St at Cadillac Restaurant. But I don't know why, you know, all the .... resistant to the time this song penetrated. And 30 years later I want to sing it. ... .
***over MEMORIES coda:
... sweet sound .... . Good night, ladies and gentlemen! Thank you very much!

***DIAMONDS IN THE MINE additional (first) verse:
"I thought I told you all about it in the days of Vietnam
When your poets marched for Uncle Ho and your sons for Uncle Sam
Which side you're on today, which song you're gonna sing
With the mega stench of corpses that is blowin' in the wind"
***after DIAMONDS IN THE MINE:
Thank you very much, and don't leave the hall without thanking our sound engineer, Mr Gary Bradshaw! Our lighting designer, Mr Ron James! Our ... chief and mantra mixer, Mr Peter Flint! I know these things do me much ....., they really ......., you know. I wanna thank our back line man, Mr Nick ...... . I don't know when but we're going back to (normal?) again, so I wanna say thank you for this evening and this warm reception that you've given us tonight.
***SO LONG, MARIANNE extra verse:
Now your tears, they're known to everyone
Your body is at home in the sea
How come you give away your news to everyone
When you said it was a secret just for me.
