Despite the long time delay, this is not a reseed; it has never been shared before.
Leonard Cohen at Glastonbury seems to have gone down in history as one of the best
from his 2008 tour, but unfortunately it was not transmitted at the time. It was
certainly the best thing I saw there that year, and the only time I ever saw him.

All the other recordings I have heard of this performance were somewhat affected
by a very enthusiastic audience which made for a great atmosphere but hard to appreciate
the music.

This was one of my first recordings. I had a great fairly central spot, just behind
the middle rail which runs level with the soundesk so there was no-one directly in
front apart from a few security people. The picture shows were I was.

There were two reasons as to why I did not share this earlier, not having much
experience with editing software at the time.

One was the overall sound which was extremely bass heavy (usually the case at the
Glastonbury main stages). I managed to fix this using (for the technically minded)
an inverse RIAA curve although a bit less intense at the extreme ends. Then result
is a slightly clinical sound especially in the applause but it is a lot more listenable

The other was that there was one unfortunate individual a few yards to my right.
The place was rammed so I had no chance if getting further away from him. I
managed to filter out his inane remarks, half hearted whoops and out of time
clapping along but I couldn't do much about his occasional tuneless singing along.
Fortunately he seemed to only have a rudimentary knowledge of Leonard Cohen's songs
but he seemed to be able to pick up more of the chorus' as the songs progressed.

After several hours of work I was reasonably happy with the result and it is a good
souvenir of a magical event.

Should you wish to burn a cd copy, 8 tracks on each works well.

Usual deal, please don't try to make any money from this recording and keep any lossy
versions for your own personal consumption.

Enjoy!!
