I'd been looking forward to this show for a long time and it was indeed truly magnificent. A faultless, heart-warming performance from Mr Cohen and the band, Leonard himself a paradigm of grace and manners, his voice as rich and deep as mahogany, running on-stage and skipping off, literally skipping!

The BIC, known for it's shit acoustics responded to the quiet PA, and I do mean quiet, one of the quietest gigs I've attended outside a folk club. My seat was not in a great position, off to the side and out of shot of the PA, so the sound was not the best. The gig was professionally filmed by 3 cameramen and 2 static onstage cameras and HD projected onto large screens either side of the stage, the quality was stunning, I could count Len's nose hairs. I assume a DVD of the tour is being compiled, I think it will look amazing.

Sadly, my recording is a bit of a disappointment. I seriously underestimated the volume so my recording has had to be hugely boosted and to avoid the LOUD APPLAUSE/quiet music syndrome I have used some dynamic compression. This boosting has caused a lot of hiss, the worst of which I have trimmed off, bit it's still a bit hissy. I'll post a bad sample for your assessment.

Enjoy!
