As soon as I got into Seattle I stepped off the bus and fired one up. Moments later a bike cop rolled up. She apologized for almost running into me. I went to the Neptune record store early in the afternoon which is attached to the same building. Good prices there, but kind of cluttered. I ran into Les a couple hours before the show while skateboarding down the alley behind the building. This was my first time seeing Bryan Kehoe or Claypool as a solo act. I had my microphones on stage between Claypool and Kehoe's monitors and stood front and centre all night. I was able to stash all my other stuff under the stage during the show.

Reformed Whores opened up the show. They were very funny and pretty much exactly what I expected. The venue was about a third full when they started and stayed that way until towards the end of their set. I thought I got a song of their's on video, but I ended up just filming a couple seconds accidentally. I did get audio of their whole set.

Les pulled out an iPhone after Wynona and was getting a call from Adam Gates, who he put on speaker phone in front of his vocal mic. He gave away a Dunlop tuner that Kehoe (works for Dunlop) gave him to someone in the front because it didn't work too well. I got Man in the Box on video. As of this show it is the only time they'd ever played it and only decided to play it a short while before the show. The setlist has Gauntlet crossed out and Box written beside it. I kind of forgot what city I was in until Les started talking about the grunge scene.

I stuck to beer this night and smoked a couple j's during the show. From a distant by-stander it might have appeared that the faux fireplace on stage, placed there to give a campfire sing-a-long vibe, was emitting smoke. There was some good Proverbial Mind Spread floating around this night, but I decided not to partake at the last minute. Les was drinking California Pinot. Kehoe, Wylie and the Whores were drinking PBR ("Hipster Heineken"). Les expressed his strong dislike for micro brews and was pointing out some of the t-shirts in the front row. One guy had a Mike Watt shirt, another had the 2013 Primus Alaska shirt. There was a guy with a 'Ride the S.L.U.T.' shirt (South Lake Union Trolley). I had my Malt Whiskey shirt on that's spelled in Walt Disney font, which Les pointed out to Kehoe after Jerry Was a Race Car Driver and got a few laughs. He asked where I got it, and I tell him, "Army Surplus". I also got Master of Puppets, American Life and Stayin' Alive on video. Caught one of Kehoe's guitar picks too.

After the show, as I was packing up my things, Jason came up to me and handed me a copy of the setlist. Then, as I was making my way towards the exit, I started talking to someone about skateboards and saw Kehoe on the floor greeting fans. I paused the conversation, got a photo with Kehoe and had him sign my M.I.R.V. CD's. "Get off my motherfuckin' lawn!"

I had a really good time at this show and my recording sounds pretty nice. It's like you're right there up front. I've included some high resolution scans of photos I took at the show, and the setlist.
