Geetarz Comments:

The second performance in a special 4-night run in Japan with Elton John and Mark Knopfler, this performance was broadcast both on Japanese radio and television.

The radio and television broadcasts each had a slightly different mix, and for this, Mid Valley was able to source the pre-FM audio mix that would later be used for the radio broadcast.

This broadcast mix features a bit more "atmosphere" and crowd noise, the sort of thing I've always nicknamed the "live radio show mix". In the past I've described some other shows as "crispy", "crunchy", "hot close-miked SBD" ... and this isn't any of those. It's a far more "open" sounding recording, as the engineers try to balance the soundboard and audience recordings.

All presented and packaged in typical Mid Valley quality, par excellence.
