In 2006 Lili Anel performed a bunch of shows throughout the east coast with bassist, Cooke Harvey. Before the birth of the Dream Again Band this show was captured. In fact, Lili had already begun working on her "Dream Again" CD with Cooke onboard in the co-producer role as stated in this recording. This dynamic show displays Lili's range of guitar playing and the fabulous Cooke Harvey on bass.

CD artwork included.

I AM THRILLED TO BE SHARING ANOTHER GREAT ACOUSTIC SHOW OF LILI!!!

Enjoy!

Lili Anel is a New York singer/songwriter who grew up in Spanish Harlem soaking up the musical roots of her Cuban and African American heritage. Professionally she grew up in the same Greenwich Village singer/songwriter circle as Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin and Lucinda Williams. Although Lili Añel is not a household name, since her arrival in Philadelphia in 2004, she has developed a devoted east coast following. In addition to being booked as a headliner, Lili has also been the support act for such artists as : Richie Havens, Alejandro Escovedo, Teddy Thompson, Alana Davis, The Subdudes, Raul Malo, Boz Scaggs, Raul Midon, John Hammond and B.B. King. Lili's last two CDs made the pages of JazzTimes magazine, among others. Lili doesn’t claim to be a straight ahead Jazz artist; her music is a hybrid of rock/funk/soul and jazz. I am very passionate about Lili's music and have gotten a hold of some nice, (mostly soundboard) live recordings of both acoustic and band performances. Lili has been compared to artists such as Joan Armatrading, Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone, Roberta Flack, Phoebe Snow, Tracy Chapman and oddly enough Steely Dan. Some of that may be true, but Lili is a unique artist with her own songwriting style and her own
