LA Times, 2013-12-17 -- In the same year that Linda Ronstadt told the world she could no longer sing a note because of Parkinson's disease, she has been elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a possibility that she recently told the Los Angeles Times shed never "given a second thought to."

After just now honoring Linda with a DIME share --
see, "Linda Ronstadt - 1975-09-22, Center for the Performing Arts, San Jose, CA US - Early & Late Sets - SBD - Reseed"
-- I gave it a second thought.

On her night before our world at large, my Linda after all will not be joining in singing with what's left of Nirvana or even (Bruce Springsteen and) the E Street Band.

So before I fall to pieces, let's hear her here once more from before now and again.

After posting the My Father's Place 7/21/74 show, DIME member Daddy515 sent me a CD-r of this show from the same year.

Although this was listed as a soundboard, it is obvious that this a very good audience recording. The original taper shut off the tape between songs which resulted in jarring edits and some cut-off intros. I tried to make the recording more listenable by crossfading the tracks.

Linda mentions that she did a TV show with the Eagles the previous day--I am assuming this was Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. Since some of the between song talk was cut, there are no band member intros--though I am assuming that the lineup is the same as the My Father's Place show in July. I am pretty certain of this since the arrangements of the songs in common are identical including some of the guitar solos.

Thanks again to DIME member Daddy515. I am hoping that there is someone out there with an even BETTER source for this show or artwork!

***Whoever is putting out discs on the Project Zip, Midnight Dreamer and Vintage Masters labels please contact me--I have several shows I want to offer you.***
