LINDISFARNE - Knebworth, England 1981-06-21

OK, I'll try hard to stop this sounding like there's a barrel being scraped! This is my last Lindisfarne concert upload (all things permitting, still got a Jack The Lad In Concert disc, plus two Lindisfarne odds-and-ends compilations, but last concert). It's from the Knebworth Festival, at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire on 21st June 1980 - also on the bill: Beach Boys, Mike Oldfield (there's a DVD of his bit) and Santana.

This was from before the days when the big festivals were televised, so it's an audience recording. The sound is reasonably decent, but don't expect FM (sample below).

The art indicates that the Lindisfarne.de bootleg this is taken from also includes stuff from the arts group that Si Cowe was in between the break-up and reformation. Of course I've had to exclude this as it's officially released (albeit it probably didn't sell any copies). Just for peace of mind, you're missing nowt, it's absolutely awful!

Two uploads that I can't make to dime, but Lindisfarne fans will be interested in:

1. With big thanks to eavyumble, there's some fantatic early footage available for purchase from POP2 on French TV. Try this link: http://boutique.ina.fr/recherche/recherche?search=lindisfarne&vue=Boutique_Video. Can't up the Lindisfarne bits, as confirmed by this earlier banning notice (http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/bot-dimeadozen-org/message/633327). The first programme includes footage from Paris in October 1971 and is priceless.

2. For those of you who haven't spotted it, the Lindisfarne.co.uk site has a link to some STV footage from late 70's, here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z61w9_ZDCLU. I've tried to capture it, but it's locked. Later material, but an entertaining watch.

But another appeal. Have ANY of you got any Lindisfarne or Lindisfarne-related material to load. Please please get it upped!
