Santa didn't disappoint this year,and what a cracker this is.
Lindisfarne at their best,and the crowd in fine voice too.
I never knew this existed until a few weeks ago,and of course
had to track it down. A ten (yes ten) night stand at Newcastle.
A few surprises for an 1982 show.
Alan must have got a Synth for Christmas,Jacka some Congas,
and Ray Laidlaw some electronic pads.
Alan plays Fly Away solo on the piano,and mentions he just wrote the song.
Uncle Sam gets an airing,and Dingly Dell gets an 80's sound update.
Was it recorded after Christmas? As Alan mentions,they're off to play with
their Christmas toys,just before Fly Away.
Then we are wished a Merry Chrismas and a Happy New Year twice by Jacka,
so it must have been just before Christmas.
A great recording,i hope they found the roof as it must have been blown off during this show.
Bloody Magical.By the way Teddy Boys' Picnic was Si's idea for the title of C'Mon Everybody.


Had to fix five tracks for the odd stray notes/chords,cut out some dead air
and the odd vinyl click,so this must have come from a vinyl source (PreFM)
