Thanks to Derek for the info..............
The "Elvis" tour was a series of concerts joint-headlined by Lindisfarne and The Strawbs, minus Simon Cowe (who had left for Canada) and plus producer Kenny Craddock (on hammond organ and accordian).
The Newcastle City Hall 1993 (Mother Russia) was the final concert of a 35-date tour ("Lindisfarne and the Strawbs Together in Concert") from 16th November through to Newcastle City Hall on 29th December.
In addition to these there was a 36th gig at London Hammersmith Apollo on 14th January, 1994! The Strawbs, lineup Dave Cousins, Richard Hudson, Rod Demick, Blue Weaver.Brian Willoughby did the first half and Lindisfarne, lineup Alan Hull, Rod Clements, Ray Laidlaw, Marty Craggs, Kenny Craddock and Steve Cunningham, the second.
I went to two of the gigs- Carlisle Sands on 5th December and Preston Guildhall on 23rd December.
Derek.
