Well! A week ago I was despairing that I had left it too late to buy tickets for the Cheese and Grain Show. It's great that Lindisfarne are on such a roll again but not if you miss out on tickets.

Then...I received an email Titled "Lindisfarne Pre-Show Info". Seemed a bit strange so I called the venue and asked if I had already booked tickets. Turned out that I had Front Row centre! Brilliant. Just goes to show that tickets go on sale so far ahead these days that you can forget you bought them (particularly if you have a worn out memory like me).

To the show...
Excellent night (of course). The band were well on form and were delighted by the reaction from the audience. A group of Geordies were there too but the rest of us Southerners gave them just as good a welcome!
A great "Alright on the Night" set the bar high for the evening. My personal highlights were "Squire" and "Statues and Liberties" but quite honestly the standard continued throughout on what seems to be pretty standard set for this tour. No surprises but who cares? The set has something for everyone. The sublime Clear White Light II left a smile on everyone's face as we trooped out to the car park.

A couple of personal thoughts though, I miss "Song for a Windmill" and hope they bring that back at some stage. Secondly, it's time that Rod updated a few of his jokes/introductions! But I'm not being critical, I had a terrific evening.

Thanks to Lesterferget for the layout of this info file and a big thanks to him and TempusFugit for all the shows they have shared over the last 15 years or so. Readying this recording for sharing has reminded me how much effort they have been regularly putting in and the Septem Mirabilis series should be released commercially! See you at City Hall!
