Here's an "Odd and Sod" from my booty over the years. The original surf guitar king Link Wray making his way through Denver in 2005. Link passed in November 2005, so this was his final tour. Recorded at the wonderful Bluebird Theatre, this one sounds really nice. However, there is one issue that I'm still scratching my head over - after the show started and during the first song, my recording just ends for about 5 minutes before it starts up again and I'm not sure what happended - mic became unplugged? - possibly, but there are no pops and clicks to indicate there were any issues with the mics - levels got bumped on the deck? - possibly, but the when the recording "ends", there is no change in the levels - they just stop and pickup again after 5 minutes, so I'm left to believe that maybe I had a defective DAT tape. So, I know I missed about 5 minutes of the show, but I don't know how many songs were missed (as these tend to be shorter songs). Anyway, sample included and enjoy one of the true rock n roll pioneers.
