Here's something kind of cool for all you blues swing and rockabilly fans.

Little Charlie & The Nightcats formed in 1976 and are the undisputed champs of West Coast jump blues.

Beginning in small clubs in San Francisco and Sacramento, CA

Little Charlie quickly evolved into one of the most eccentric guitar players on the scene, effortlessly blending swing, jazz,

rockabilly and blues into single solos that set the standard for the entire jump blues/swing revival.

The Harmonica player and vocalist Rick Estrin is pretty good too.

If you want to hear another live recording from around this same time period, check out their official live album released in 1991.

If you've never heard Charlie and his band, then today is the today you should. This is good uptempo blues with a touch of swing and jazz mixed in.

The quality is Really Good on this. You shouldn't pass this by. The only issue i have is that the bass guitar is too quiet.

Little Charlie Baty - Lead Guitar (went into "soft" retirement in 2008)
Rick Estrin - Vocals and Harmonica
Brad Lee Sexton - Bass
Dobie Strange - Drums (replaced by June Core in 1996)
