Featroller comment: very nice recording of the Feat at full throttle to impress what must've been a big
summertime crowd. Setlist is heavy on the just-released album Ain't Had Enough Fun. Big Bang Theory – what
a great rocker! One of many they never played enough for me. Also a heavy dose of blues Chicago-style. I'm
not aware of Long Distance Call showing up amid Apolitical Blues this early. Paul gets a blistering slide
solo on Long Distance Call. Sound is good considering the type of venue. The only flaw is the missing start
of Dixie Chicken, which probably isn't much because they didn't do a real long intro back then. It kicks in
the middle of the first verse, and off to the races. Man I love that Dixieland trumpet jam Fred used to do
mid-Chicken. This was a terrific and underappreciated era for the Feat. Relatively few recordings are
available, and this one shouldn't be passed up.
