Little Women - Live,From The Catalyst 1990/1987

Jerry Joseph and Little Women were a lot more Reggae influenced than the Jackmormons
Were,I thought, the best "unknown" club band around.

I got permission from Jerry J to get this ( 11/1/90) recorded. As a roomate was friends with the soundman
I gave him a blank to record right off the board. The problem...he forgot to flip the tape,so I got a SBD master...the only SBD recording that night...but just 45 min. The house deck was a Sony D5,tape was Maxell MX,dolby B

4/11/87 is off a 1st gen aud cass. The taper evidently had some issues with a jack or cable on one channel, and some songs had brief segments where the levels would rise and change tone. The last 2 songs-the best stuff, had fewer problems and I was able to do a decent cleanup in Soundforge. The story in the middle of "Kiss The Dog" is what made it worth the hassle. Like a Rolling Stone is a great, unique twist on a classic.

I felt justified putting these Catalyst shows togather in a compilation format,as there may be no other recording of 11/1/90,and the 2 songs from 4/11/87 are remastered from a flawed recording.

Analog-Digital transfer...Nak CR2A deck -> M-Audio Revolution soundcard. Levels matched, gliches (on 4/11/87 only) fixed in Soundforge 8. Segmented with CD Wave, by Rembrant. 4/11/87 was probably mastered on a D5 Sony, but I can't say what Mics he had then,I recall he had Beyers at some point around then.
