notes:
This tape came in labeled with no date or venue. I scoured the Internet of all the usual sites that I use for tour research. Using the setlist as a guideline, I was able to determine this comes from 1976 but couldn’t really pinpoint the exact date or location. I am cautiously labeling this Edwardsville Illinois July 28, 1976. Any help would be appreciated to verify it's date and venue.
This tape transfer was labeled as an FM master. But this particular recording definitely lacks some quality.
There is some radio reception interference, so you’ll hear some static, most notably during the last song.
The right channel during the first four tracks was extremely low. I had to amplify it +20 dB to bring it up to normal volume. The last two tracks had very good volume. The left channel during the first four tracks had good volume but sounds a bit muddy and distant compared to the right channel. After amplifying the right channel it created more tape hiss, but it sounds brighter and clearer than the left channel. So because of these flaws it’s not nearly as good as a true FM master would normally be. So if anyone can offer an upgrade to this recording it would be greatly appreciated.
I still think this is worth listening to, I did enjoy it and I think you would too.
