::: Quite fine SBD with a high vocal (PA) mix. Check samples for flee fast, or do & dine potential.
::: Warts: #1 fades in near the end & #15 cuts. Has some dropouts & dullspots but it ain't too bad. Sometimes intruments are low in the mix & vocals rule.
::: CONTRAST CLAUSE: This is a remastered version of http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=519479
::: Up'd with lilpanda's approval & only done to complement his fine work.
Recording Information ::: soundboard -> ? -> CD-R -> flacs -> Panda Production remaster in Adobe Audition -> flacs.
Playback 2015-02-xx ::: flacs -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase offset alignment thruout 8-15 cents, volume adjustments, +2.6% pitch/speed fix with single pass after frequency analysis & with pitchpipe verification, NO further equalisation] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded week of 2015-04-xx.
Original Panda Production remastering (slightly edited) ::: 1) Re EQ: the whole recording had no top end. Tried multiple strategies, found something I liked. 2) Step 1 unbalanced the channels, had to rebalanced them. 3) For whatever reason (maybe crappy PA), Sid chose to yell a lot of his vocals. This meant you had to set your listening levels lower so his vocals didn't blow your speakers. Which also meant that you couldn't hear the playing as well (the SBD mix was already balanced wacky with the vocals getting huge emphasis over guitars&bass). I went thru all of Sid's vocal tracks & cut his yelling down manually, line by line, word by word. The end result is you don't have to adjust the volume as often. 4) Step one also increased the hiss, so I put a slight amount of NR on it. But don't worry, the hiss is still there, I just knocked it down a peg. Final note) Does Sid even have a clue what the words to the verses of #11 are?
Line-up ::: Sid Griffin - electric guitar, vocals // Stephen McCarthy - electric guitar // Tom Stevens - electric bass // Greg Sowders - drums, percussion.
Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.
DimeTravel 099 ::: Thanks to the original taper & traders & to DIMER lilpanda for his work! ::: Corrections welcome ::: lilpanda did hardcore work with the high vocal issue on this, but it was too slow & also had offset & level issues. Here's the result. Eat it with toast & jam, or don't ingest it if it ain't yr breakfast of champions. I thought this band ROCKED around this time. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yers truly, Knees
