This was my second Los Lobos show of 2016. This show took place in SLO’s Mission Plaza at the foot of the historic Mission (Circa 1772), and is in the same location that hosts the summertime ‘Concerts In The Plaza’ series, which are free shows held every Friday evening throughout the summer. This particular show was a pay show, which led to some people trying to sneak through security. David Hidalgo was late to the show by 35 minutes or so after being stuck in traffic because of a previous accident. The guy behind me shouted ‘Where’s Hidalgo?’ a couple of times. I told him that I wondered that too. I’m glad that he finally arrived. The show ‘must go on’, and the band did not delay the start of the show. Thanks to Todd and Corey of ‘Good Medicine Presents’. Thanks to Mike for his post production skills. Thanks so much to Dan Gale of Los Lobos for putting me on the guest list to record.
