The London Meltdown Festival is an annual art/performance/music event with a different guest "curator" each year. In 1997, the Curator was Laurie Anderson and she (predictably enough) invited Lou to participate: His Festival Hall show on 3rd July was a "conventional" concert and was recorded and (partially) officially released as "Perfect Night In London".

On the 5th July, the Festival Hall was used for "Rescue": a "Gala Performance in aid of Warchild", and again, Lou stepped up to the mark. He not only performed a short solo set supported by Mike Rathke, he also collaborated with Brian Eno to write a new song for the event. I could be wrong, but I think this is the only time that this song has ever been performed.
