Loudon Wainwright III
McCabe's Guitar Shop, Santa Monica, CA
February 8, 1992 (The date becomes important throughout the show.)
solo acoustic, as usual
The lineage is from cassette to hard drive, from the taper's master cassette. While this is not a soundboard, I absolutely love the way this was recorded. You must listen on headphones for maximum effect. It will feel like you're there. The taper picked a good spot, as there are hearty laughers on either side of the microphones. Also, this appears to be the only performance of a song called So Long John Sununu, as well as one called Happy Birthday Elvis, which is a bit dated. Some nice music choices here:
People In Love
Therapy
Happy Birthday Elvis
Westchester County
Thanksgiving
I Eat Out
So Long John Sununu
They Spelled My Name Wrong Again
Unrequited To The Nth Degree
Men
Me And All The Other Mothers
Talking New Bob Dylan
Your Mother And I
The Picture
A Father And A Son
B-side
When I'm At Your House
Road Ode
I'd Rather Be Lonely
Lullaby

Enjoy this wonderfully-recorded show.
