Here we have a New York zydeco band.

Frontman:

Bruce "Sunpie" Barnes - blues harmonica player and zydeco accordionist.

Originaly from Benton, Arkansas. Now lives in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He is a veteran musician, park ranger, actor, former high school biology teacher,

former college football All-American, and former NFL player (Kansas City Chiefs).

Sunpie Barnes' career has taken him far and wide, and he has traveled to over 35 countries

playing his own style of blues, zydeco and Afro-Louisiana music incorporating Caribbean and African

influenced rhythms and melodies. He is a multi-instrumentalist playing piano,

percussion, harmonica, and he learned to play accordion from some of the best.

Today Sunpie performs With his musical group Sunpie and the Louisiana Sunspots,

he has played festivals and concerts accross New Orleans and the US,

as well as internationally, and they have recorded 5 critically acclaimed CDs.

Sunpie recently played 2 sold out shows at Madison Square Garden Theater.

His current band just finished playing 21 cities across the US and Canada.

This Audience recording is from Sunpies earliest days.

There is an unknown woman who joins onstage she sings lead vocal on a few songs.

I don't know who else is on stage.

The sound quality on this audience capture is really good.

Check out the samples and grab this up.
