Show Notes:
The final show on this arena tour and had the largest attendance. The crowd was in to the show and wasn’t short on cheering the band on.
I had talkers behind me (evident during the Kaleo set) and while they were a bit more respectful for The Lumineers they could still be occasionally heard during the show.
During Classy Girls the band made their way to the B-stage in the centre of the rear floor. They played on the B-stage for a total of four songs. Two of the band members were wearing Edmonton Oilers jerseys for the B-stage and some audience members did a “Let’s go Oilers” chant.
During Ophelia Wesley Shutlz (lead singer) went for a run through the audience on the floor and up to a section on the lower bowl while continuing to perform the song.
Recording / Editing Notes:
First time recording in the new Rogers Place venue and vocals and instruments sounded very clear. Fan noise compliments the band and sing along when encouraged.
Song introductions were left on the previous track (i.e.: Gun Song and Charlie Boy).
Previous experience with the 9200 pre-amp had me set the volume level lower and I monitored levels to ensure there were no clipping issues. Will try setting the pre-amp levels to 10dB on future recordings and amplify in post.
