pre-FM recording

TheCommish notes:
This is a really nice pre-FM recording that I picked up very recently. The original version of the show--including commercials--was shared by drccds over at The Traders Den. Unfortunately, the commercials-included version of this show caused it to run onto 2 CDs...but with the commercials removed, I found that the entire show can fit nicely on a single CD!

So since I decided to trim down the show for my own use, I thought I'd share it here for anyone interested. Perhaps some of you already have the 2-CD version but would prefer to have the portability of a single-disc show...well, now's your chance! And of course, if you don't have a version of this show, I highly recommend it.

The funny thing about Skynyrd is that I saw them on their '91 tour and came away rather unimpressed. However, I like this '94 show quite a bit. Go figure.

Anyway, my thanks again to drccds for sharing this fine show with us.

Setlist:

Original lineage (per drccds):
CD > EAC > FLAC 8

TheCommish's lineage:
FLAC > FLAC Frontend > WAV > CD Wave > Nero wave editor > FLAC Frontend > FLAC

Editing notes:
* Removed all commercials that were included in the torrent I downloaded (split the radio segments using CD Wave and removed the parts not needed)
* I did NOT delete the announcer's words coming in/out of the commercial breaks
* Using Nero's wave editor, I applied small fade-outs to the audience applause that preceded the excised commercials. Specifically, small fades were applied to the end of Track 05, Track 07, Track 10, Track 12, and Track 14.

Additional notes:
* For some strange reason, the line "There's too much coke and too much smoke" wasn't sung at the beginning of "That Smell". Was the band censoring itself for the Superstar Concert Series or were the words somehow (temporarily) forgotten???

* I also included the original info file (from drccds) as well as his scans of the Superstar Concert Series cue sheets, for anyone interested.

If you decide to download this show, won't you please consider posting a comment on the show's board? It only takes a moment, and believe me, it takes A LOT longer to prepare/upload a show for others to enjoy than it does to download and run.

And won't you please consider thanking drccds for sharing this terrific helping of southern rock with us?
