::: Very nice crisp up front stereo AUD. Check samples for self-ascertainment or to put yr tongue to the sugar.
::: WARTS: Not many. Dropouts were mostly low volume or easily patched & didn't get 'em all. Some audience talking. Fine recording.
::: This is the complete set. Don't know who they were opening for.

CoolSonics 166 ::: Thanks to the original taper & traders! ::: Corrections welcome ::: For Dino. Very sorry it took so long! I promised you these several years ago but had a lot of tape deck problems & it all got to be a hassle. My apologies.

This is one of the better quality Mad Violets shows. One thing I have enjoyed while listening to these recordings again is how large a repertoire the band had. Between their own material & the covers it was a very respectable collection! Here we get a 13th FLoor Elevators selection and the lighter side of suicide with "Bye Bye Baby Goodbye". Time for a brainspin. The website address is below if you want to head on over, read more about the band maybe purchase the Mad Violets "Season Of The Mad Violets" CD, which is available along with some other rightous psychedelia. After all, Dino left this band to join another of the great 80's psych outfits, The Blacklight Chameleons. Enjoy!

Kudos to Zongo for life support, Lochner for mikes&more & Fast Freddie for runnin' Video Dick's Record Emporium with the bathroom office full of tape decks. Thanks to Hanwaker (few among us can keep his pace). Mountains of gratitude to Davmar, D.White, Sanchez, Elliot, The Florida Kid, Kloiber, Zingg, JTW, Bershaw, Boston Gold, Weeks, Dixon, Moore, Gough & SO many more for all that collecting & sharing... Royal thanks to The Man In The Palace, Doc Tinker, Brinkhoffs, Barely Eatin', Reel Master Gaule, Parrish & all the traders who housed me thru my music acquisition & travel years. Hats off to Brother Kent, Uncle Jake, Little Queenie (& her neighbor Frank) & his honor Ptomaine Thomas. Glasses raised to Byron for musical horizon expansion & much obliged to J & Thurston for keepin' my concert fires burnin' since my continental shift. Thanks to the Mods for keepin' DIME alive. Enjoy, share, give, spread peace. Yers truly, Knees
