Madagascar Slim is a folk and blues guitarist who was born in Antananarivo, Madagascar. He moved to Canada in 1979 to study English and accounting. While studying, he played with the folk group, La Ridaine. And thus began his second career. Madagascar Slim also performs with the bands Tri-Continental and The African Guitar Summit.

Madagascar Slim is a three-time Juno Award winner: He won "World Music Album of the Year" in 2000 for his solo album, "Omnisource", in 2001 he won with Tri-Continental, and then again in 2005 with the African Guitar Summit.

In this concert at Toronto's Silver Dollar Room on the occasion of the Toronto Blues Society's Christmas party, Madagascar Slim performs songs from his new album, "Good Life, Good Living".
