Way back when I recorded 3 nights of Magic Slim and The Teardrops back in 1990 in Toronto. June 21st, 22nd & 23rd. The shows were at a venue called Blues & Cues wich is no longer around. The mic used for the Magic Slim shows was The Radio Shack� PZM� Microphone. Many years ago, Radio Shack (RS) sold a Pressure Zone Microphone, models 33-1080 that was as thin as the size of a credit card. I recorded the shows on a AIWA Walkman, i no longer have that walkman and don't recall the model #. Tapes were transered from a Yamaha k-540 cassette deck and burned on a rw disc on my Pioneer PDR-555RW standalone cd burner then straight to my pc. I have asked ChicagoBlues to create the torrents and seed the shows. A big thanks to ChicagoBlues for his help in seeding some fine BLUES.

Here is the 1st of 3 magic Slim shows that Doug99 recorded. The sound quality of the show is very good. If you are not familiar with the little Radio Shack mics, they worked great. I had a pair and recorded many shows with them. This shows performance is very good and features Magic's old friend John Primer on Guitar. The 2nd set has several issues. The left channell and right channell levels drop in and out on each channell during each song. While I could attempt to mono out a few sections, the problem is not so bad that i wanted to do that and I do not have the software to properly do a good job at this time. While the 2nd set is still very listenable, if someone would be so kind as to fix this set/show and re-seed sometime I am sure Doug99, and everyone else would appreciate it. The 2nd and 3rd night do not have this proiblem. Crack one open and enjoy some 19 year old blues...! (A little help on the setlist too please)
