RELEASE DESCRIPTION:
*This is my first ever attempt at seeding a torrent, so if there's any problem with this, be sure to let me know*
*Also, sorry for the possible slow seeding, the upload speed of my internet connection isn't really good. I'll seed my copy as much as possible*
For my first ever upload here on DIME, here is a full concert by Magma off their recently finished "Eskähl 2021" tour.
The original files were given to me via Gmail by a taper called "Magma Zheul" (It's the taper's actual pseudonym, no typo made by me here...)
From the original source, in Reaper (the DAW I use), I have made some changes to make the concert sound better and mastered:
-I used a the De-Reverb of RX7 by Izotope to remove a bit of the original reverb
-I used an EQ to remove some problematic mid-range while boosting the bass and the highs
-I used 3 instances of the "Drawmer S73" VST by Softube to remove even more rumble while applying a bit of gentle compression
-I used "The Punch" VST by Audio Assault to bring out more of the drums
-I applied some subtle tape style saturation/compression
-I used a "Pultec" style EQ to sculpt the highs and the lows even more
-Finally, I used a limiter to boost the overall sound of the band's performance (it felt too quiet at the source)
I did not try to do further tweaks to this recording, I did not try to normalize the volume of every single things and there may be some instances of unexpected taper noises that I did not try to correct, so everyone is welcomed to rework on this release, hence, Contrast Clauses are welcomed!
If you've never heard of me before, not long ago, I used to have a Youtube channel called "Vek" where I uploaded full and remastered bootlegs of Magma and you may have seen my videos, until I stopped it for unfortunate Copyright concerns.
But, thanks to this short journey, I was able to get this audience recording and then share it with all of you!
Actually I am huge fan of the music of Magma since only 2019 and I am still relatively new to the world of bootlegs, but I hope that this first upload will make your day!
So please enjoy this and thank you!
P.S.: The same taper, before sending me this concert, also sent me the band's first concert of the year, which is apparently a rehearsal, performed at "le Triton", September the 4th.
I think that this concert contains the first taper-recorded versions of the new songs performed during their latest tour.
However, for personal reasons, I won't be working on the audio of this concert, so if someone wants the original WAV files to work on the audio, then they are free to send me a PM!
I still have a working download link for that one.
