Manfred Mann
1973
Paris Theater
London

This is the silver boot cd "Quinn the Escimo (sic)" on the Oh Boy label (1-9044, anybody remember TAKRL?).
This is an excellent A+ stereo soundboard recording, recorded live at the Paris Theatre, London 1973. Sound quality: A+, 10/10 Performance: A+ (It'll blow your socks off!)
Just leaving the blues-based early 1970s stuff and entering the Roaring Silence-style heavy progressive/guitar style that made them a worldwide phenomenon, this material is superb.
Members are Mann, Pattenden, Rogers and Chris Slade on drums (AC/DC!).
For the curious, check out the two Manfred Mann Chapter III albums from 1969/1970 - spooky, dark jazz/improv workouts with top-notch playing. Superb, compelling albums (althought the second is a bit scattered in quality).

Tracks:

MERCURY (3:52)
BUDDAH (9:52)
MESSIN' (10:04)
FATHER OF DAY, FATHER OF NIGHT (17:08)
MIGHTY QUINN (7:26)
