Manic Street Preachers
Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
19th May 2011

Recorded from front left of stage on james' side using iRiver ihp-120
with battery box and Church Audio stealth mics.

This recording turned out far better than I could have expected, considering it was
recorded from the front of the stage and anyone who was present at this gig will confirm
that it was a very lively show with lots of jumping about in the mosh pit. My position
changed several times during the course of this gig due to me being jostled and carried
along with the mass of people at the front. On occasion you can hear the sound 'shift'
although this is only really noticable if you listen over headphones. There is a lot of
audience participation evident on the recording, singing, shouting etc, but if anything
this adds to the atmosphere rather than detracts from it.

Support was from the excellent Joy Formidable and my recording of their set is already up
and running on Dime.
