Comment G.Sawa-Boryslawski :

Great show! Wow!

Nice to hear a good-quality concert from the beginning of the tour (it's the third show of STP tour!).

Early performances of a rare - El Macho, great Prairie Wedding,

very very fast Walk of Life (with "power").

Also, very, very good Sultans of Swing and Brothers In Arms...

Now we all know that the best mood on the audience was in the South America!

comments J.V Tol(OEB):

Very nice sounding recording.

One of the first recordings of the Sailing to Philadelphia world tour 2001.

Great setlist with rarely played songs like:

-El macho,

-Wag the dog

-The long highway!

Complete setlist.

quoted TK comment:

The sound is pretty good, and the setlist of that night is a good mix of songs, some being rarely played later during the tour, such as "The long highway", "Wag the dog" or "El macho".

Plus, some songs in their "early" version sound a bit different from what they became later, such as "Speedway at Nazareth" and its extended solo on this recording (more than 9 minutes !)

Tango

Mark’s tale of being one of the best dancers in England, was always going to get him into trouble. At nearly all press conferences in South America an element of routine set in so he decided to spice things up a bit. Mark started to comment on his astounding natural talent for the tango. "I’m an expert on the tango!…but you’ll never know" he continued, "you’ll never see it."
It almost backfired on him one night in a Buenos Aires Tango bar when he was ushered, quite forcefully by one of the dancers, toward the stage to demonstrate his never-before seen talents. He was stubborn in his absolute refusal to leave his seat. Mark said he didn’t have his tango shoes. Thank goodness. The talent remains hidden.

Quoted from Guy fletcher'2001 tour diary. (**Thanks Guy**)
