Once again, some of the best blues can be had at this free three-day festival along the MS river. Mark's band was the first day of the festival and he provided a great start. I have a friend, Danny Lancaster, that plays with Mark (and visa versa, depending on who headlines) that was scheduled to play this day but bowed out due to illness. There was no disappointment as Mark and the band were ON with Mark hitting some great licks on the harp in the style of Paul Butterfield while Bob Horn provides great guitar work. All in all, a great set! Note that this was my last opportunity to hear Mark live as he recently was killed in a car accident.
