Marshall Crenshaw

FM broadcast

This torrent should make an excellent companion piece to realomind's recent Crenshaw torrent, found here:

Both performances were recorded on the same date. Mine...in the morning at WXPN Studios...and realomind's in the evening at The Chestnut Cabaret. Marshall is a guest in the WXPN Studios with DJ David Dye (this pre-dates his World Cafe program). They even mention the upcoming Chestnut Cabaret show.

Techical notes:

If my memory serves me correctly, I joined this broadcast late. lilpanda generously contributed the first part. His reception was less than stellar on this day, so I edited the two parts together. If you listen closely, you can hear the edit near the beginning of "Endless Sleep". Marshall sings "The night was black, rain fallin' [edit] down." It's a pretty clean edit...not bad considering I did it more than 17 years ago on a DAT recorder! The only thing that makes it noticeable is the difference in our FM signals. Anyway, at least it's complete.
