Total Time ::: 51:57

::: EXC quality stereo SBD. Check samples for no Carthy or more Carthy deliberations.
::: Warts: Not many! Repaired dullspots & dropouts but surely missed a few. Fixed or lessened many electric pops. Some songs had some low level noises - mike bumps & guitar tappin' (mike bumps lowered, taps left alone except for some distorted spots). #07 had no left channel so is now mono. #12 fades right at end, so there was more than what's here, but this is most of it.
::: Taped with permission of the artist.
::: Opening act(s) were generally "floor singers" (unpaid local performers who got the chance to sing in public).

Recording Information ::: soundboard -> Tandberg half track stereo reel-to-reel recorder -> master 7&1/2 ips stereo reel-to-reel tape.

Transfer Information ::: master 7&1/2 ips stereo reel to reel tape -> Tandberg half track stereo reel-to-reel recorder -> Boss 8-Track Digital Studio -> hard drive -> 44.1 kHz wav files.

Remastering 2017-04-xx ::: wavs -> Audacity [channel/phase alignment track by track as it varied, phase correction (flipped channel), fades, gap removal, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, pitch (speed) was quite close so left alone, NO equalisation or noise reduction, accapella songs had vox raised some in the guitar channel] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded 2017-05-xx.

Line-up ::: Martin Carthy - acoustic guitar, vocals.

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

DimeTravel 352 ::: SINCERE thanks to the original taper, DIMER Paul Hutchinson ::: Corrections welcome ::: Martin. Where would contemporary Britfolk be without him? He & Dave were game changers. I'm a hand-pickin' Carthy fan, by which I mean that aside from "Prince Heathen", my listening is usually a careful selection of 15-20 minutes at a time - but they are knockouts. There are some real delights in this show. Being that Carthy live recordings have been in relatively short supply, it was with great delight when two showed up at once, and vintage ones at that. Thanks to the taper for having the foresight to record & take care of the tapes. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
