::: EXC quality stereo SBD. Check samples to ascertain if to obtain.
::: Warts: The tape was in lovely shape. Repaired or lessened mike bumps. Removed gaps. Vocals & guitar volume vary some as Martin moves. Frequent throat clearing.
::: *The official name was Club Memphis but it was commonly known as The Memphis Folk Club.
::: Interesting ambient stereo mix, with more guitar left, vocals are mixed middle to right but move around as Martin moves.
::: Taped with permission of the artist.
::: Opening act(s) were generally "floor singers" (unpaid local performers who got the chance to sing in public).
::: NOTE: Two 1973 trax by Carthy @ Club Memphis were on the box set ("Creeping Jane"&"John Barleycorn"). Different year & gig.

Recording Information ::: soundboard -> Tandberg half track stereo reel-to-reel recorder -> master 7&1/2 ips stereo reel to reel tape.

Transfer Information ::: master 7&1/2 ips stereo reel to reel tape -> Tandberg half track stereo reel-to-reel recorder -> Boss 8-Track Digital Studio -> hard drive -> 44.1 kHz wav files.

First uploaded 2017-05-xx.

Line-up ::: Martin Carthy - acoustic guitar, vocals.

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

DimeTravel 353 ::: SINCERE thanks to the original taper, DIMER Paul Hutchinson ::: Corrections welcome ::: Two at once. Extraordinary to get a double header of Carthy in one blow & excellent quality mind-70s stereo soundboards. Should have a few folkies singing in their sleep. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
