In 2007, Mary Chapin Carpenter released a new album, �The Calling� and was about to begin a national tour with her band in support of it. Unfortunately, sudden health problems caused the cancellation of her entire tour. Recovery and other issues forced Mary Chapin into a prolonged period of greatly reduced activity for the next couple of years.

But by 2010, she had recovered and recorded a new collection of songs for the album �The Age Of Miracles.� During the Summer and Fall of that year, MC and her band embarked on extensive tours of the U.S. and U.K. � her first since early 2007. August 8th found her at The Grove in Anaheim, CA � the final stop of a west coast swing.

The fans were especially enthusiastic and welcoming after not having seen Mary Chapin for several years � and she and the band didn�t disappoint them. It was a great set, with songs from both �The Age Of Miracles� and �The Calling� plus a good selection of her �90s hits.
