I said previously that I had no more soundboard recordings from the 70s, but then I found this one.

This is the same band at the same venue as the ‘Live at Jimmy’s’ album, but it’s not the same night.
According to the album notes, the band played the week prior to the recording, but I don’t think this
is from that week, as MF was reportedly having dental problems at the time. He’s definitely not having
any problems here. So the exact date is not available, but again, this is a obviously a different night from
the official Jimmy’s release.

Mother fades out after a few minutes. MacArthur Park has a tape flip in the middle of the bone duel
section, but I don’t think more than a few seconds is missing. The first few notes of Round Midnight are missing. Much of the between-song chatter is chopped out fairly abruptly, and I tried to smooth out the
transitions between songs with some cross-fades. I had the songs all broken up into individual tracks,
and then noticed it was a bit sharp and had to lower pitch on all the tracks individually. They sound in
tune now. All in all, this is an excellent quality recording, the band sounds killer, playing many of the tunes
quite differently from the live album versions, along with a bunch of tunes not on the album.
