So the story goes: I answered an ad on Craigslist for 500 free Grateful Dead tapes.
On picking them up from the taper, I'm also informed he and a friend recorded other bands through the 70's.
These were never circulated, and deemed inferior in quality.
When I inquired about digitizing his masters, he laughingly obliged.
Some of the old Ampex and BASF tapes are in very poor shape.
This one I was only able to rip side A, as the other is squeeling, but I will attempt to bake it.

Been sitting on this because I wanted to upload the entire tape, but after listening to this a few times,
it's waaaaaay too sweet to wait any longer. This was certainly not the McCoy I was expecting, as it's far more
experimental than I've heard of him prior, and it really blew me away! I do believe this was considered a "set" at the time,
as side B seems the same length. It starts ala AEOC, and meanders through some brilliant territories....
I'm sure there are tracks to split somewhere, but I left it as is. Seems like only a handful of people there,
and there is no chatter, pure rapt enchantment perhaps... oh did I mention the quality?

I did contact Azar, and he remembers playing around then. I gathered the remaining players from an advert of the time,
(enclosed), but I may be miataken. Maybe side B holds introductions. When and if I am able to rip it, it will go up with this set also.

Just Jazz was a short lived small club on 22nd and Arch streets.

I do believe these shows will be lovingly embraced by the Dime community, and will be shared here exclusively.
