this is a different source recording from that found in torrent # 198226
posted by tmat44, (which is a reseed), and torrent # 198394 which is a
jazzrita restoration post of that.
this recording is brought to you, quite simply by the power of a dime.
not just any dime, or even any dimer, this was sent to me kindly by
taperpat, who has brought us several of his treats too, and he read a
comment I posted in the previous post of this concert that I'd like to
hear a better copy of this concert. The previous one had some FM interference,
and this one sounds pretty clean, close to an A quality to my ears for a 1976 FM recording.
He asked if I wanted to post this up and I said sure. This one sound quite
enjoyable. There seems to be a flip involved at the only possible opportunity
for one in this concert. An hour set for McCoy in this era basically means
play a song, stop (for a second or two) play another song, end of set.
This is just one of the many reasons why I like his music and it is nice
to hear any McCoy of 76 in good quality. It sounds like it's all in here.
As I've told folks who ask me to post shows, I'm fussy about sound, especially
if I'm posting a show that's an FM, or already posted, or remastering one, I only
do it if there is a significant improvement in the recording over the original
or previous post, otherwise I'm just wasting time and bandwidth. In this case,
I think there is. As I do with any post, (almost any, occasionally I will forget
to do one), I have balanced the levels and edited the tracks, removing some excess
recorder noises so all you get is the music (since the DJ introduction was already
edited out.)
I can't be certain but I don't think any music is missing in here. I am quite
certain that many will enjoy hearing this show from this recording, and that it
has survived this lineage journey to you sounding pretty nice. a sound sample
is attached in the comment column for you to decide.
do not sell this recording.
Trade freely and losslessly.
